Recreational Therapy

Our Recreational Therapy services are tailored to assist individuals in reintegrating into the community, returning to, and learning new activities they enjoy following their injuries. Addressing cognitive, physical, and emotional aspects of recovery, our therapists work closely with clients to set personal goals, provide necessary resources, and incorporate adaptive equipment to promote independence though one on one and group therapy sessions.

Case Management

Our Case Management services support clients in navigating the rehabilitation process after a life-altering event. From hospital discharge to home or community settings, we coordinate home care services, therapy, and essential equipment to ensure safety and comfort. Throughout the rehabilitation journey, we advocate for our clients, coordinating care among medical providers, therapists, and insurance companies to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Additional Services

In addition to our core services, Stewart Rehab Services, LLC specializes in assisting individuals with workers' compensation and Auto No Fault cases. Our personalized approach ensures tailored support and rehabilitation services to facilitate each client's recovery journey. Amy Stewart founded Stewart Rehab Services, LLC in 2016 with a vision of making a difference in her community. With a passion for helping individuals reclaim their lives after traumatic events, Amy set out to provide Recreational Therapy and Case Management services that prioritize the well-being and independence of her clients.

Amy Stewart

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist | Certified Case Manager | Certified Brain Injury Specialist

Amy is the owner and operator of Stewart Rehab Services, LLC. Amy got her start in the healthcare field as earning her CNA in high school and working at a local nursing home in her hometown in the thumb of Michigan. Amy furthered her education at Central Michigan University and obtained a degree in Recreational Therapy in 2000. After working inpatient rehabilitation for several years she obtained a Masters in Science in Healthcare Business Administration. Amy found early in her career she had a passion working with individuals who have experienced Traumatic Brain Injuries and Spinal Cord Injuries, specifically getting individuals integrated back into the community and doing what they love doing! Amy started SRS in 2016 wanting to provide assistance to individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries in the community setting with Recreational Therapy and Case Management Services.

Amy and her husband have 3 awesome sons she loves spending time with at their sporting events, camping, boating and being outdoors. She loves to spend time with family and friends having parties, going to concerts and traveling.

Emily McMenemy

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Emily earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts from CMU and has been a Recreational Therapist for 31 years. She has experience working inpatient and outpatient mental health, substance abuse and physical rehabilitation.

Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, her 3 kids, family and friends as well as most outdoor activities including kayaking, swimming and traveling.

She truly enjoys being a Recreational Therapist and feels blessed to have the ability to help others enjoy activities to improve their quality of life.

Annie LaBelle

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Annie received her Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Parks, Recreation, & Leisure Services with a Therapeutic Recreation concentration from Central Michigan University in 2015. In the summers and winter breaks throughout college, Annie worked at a Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation facility as a rehabilitation aide, prior to becoming a CTRS. Throughout this experience, she saw early on that her passion was assisting those with traumatic brain injuries lead a healthy leisure lifestyle. Annie also has experience in geriatrics/geriatric rehabilitation, developmental disability, spinal cord injury, in home recreation services/community re-integration, adaptive sports and in-patient psych. Annie has been working within community-based Recreational Therapy programs for 8 years now and continues to see the value that Recreational Therapy provides to our clients.

In her free time, Annie enjoys spending time with her husband, running with her husky, hiking, traveling, cooking and baking with her two children, camping, attending concerts and sporting events (LGRW), gardening, tending to her chickens, thrift shopping, and reading.
